ShorePoint, LLC is an industry-leading cybersecurity services company protecting federal customers’ most critical assets. Following years of contract wins and industry recognition, the firm’s market visibility had not kept pace with its growth. To elevate its presence in government contracting publications, local business media, and social channels, ShorePoint recognized the need for an integrated public relations and social media program, along with a new website that better reflected the company’s maturity, momentum, and leadership in the federal cybersecurity market.

Solution

ShorePoint selected Boscobel as its PR and marketing agency of record, and the team swiftly launched a strategic public relations program anchored by introductions to key industry reporters and a cadence of timely news announcements for industry awards, contract wins, and other company milestones. Within months, the proactive media strategy secured a CEO speaking engagement on a supply chain security panel hosted by a well-respected GovCon publication.

The social media program began with a refresh of ShorePoint’s branded graphics and visual identity, creating a more polished and consistent presence across digital channels. From there, the team established a steady publishing rhythm on LinkedIn and X to amplify company news, thought leadership, and brand visibility.

The website refresh followed as a second-phase initiative. Focused on more clearly communicating ShorePoint’s capabilities, the contemporary, engaging design and content showcased the company’s mission, experience, expertise, and core values. In March 2024, ShorePoint unveiled its refreshed website, with a UI/UX design that made the experience more intuitive, visually compelling, and easy to navigate.

Results

The strategic public relations and social media program has significantly elevated ShorePoint’s visibility across the government contracting and cybersecurity markets. For one major prime contract win alone, the news was covered in Potomac Officers Club, Washington Technology, CIO Influence, and other influential industry and business publications, extending the company’s reach among key federal and GovCon audiences.

Within the first year, ShorePoint’s social media followers grew by nearly 20%. Building on that increased audience engagement and brand awareness, the team launched a new Instagram presence to further expand ShorePoint’s visibility among younger government and industry professionals.

The new website was met with broad acclaim from company leadership, employees, and external stakeholders. One quality auditor specifically praised the site’s elevated user experience, noting that it was “outstanding and extremely intuitive/user-friendly.” Later, the website earned a Platinum Award from the dotCOMM Awards, an international competition that recognizes website creativity and design excellence.

A few years in, ShorePoint’s profile continues to rise, with leaders appearing on podcasts and television, experts publishing thought leadership articles, and major company developments earning broad industry coverage. When ShorePoint secured a strategic investment, the news was featured in ExecutiveBiz, OrangeSlices, Pulse 2.0, Washington Technology, Potomac Tech Wire, GovBrew, and other leading outlets — reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in federal cybersecurity.
