Problem: Colin Powell, leader of America’s Promise, and Steve Case, CEO of America Online and creator of The Case Foundation, had joined forces to create PowerUp, a network of urban computer centers with the mission of bridging the “digital divide.” It was a worthy goal indeed, but how could PowerUp build public awareness?
