Problem: NFCC’s competitors were making huge purchases of paid media to sell quick-fix solutions to a public already heavily burdened with debt. There was no way NFCC could compete head-to-head, yet the organization had to find a way to boost awareness of appropriate debt management solutions and capitalize on the reputation it had built over 50 years.

Solution: Boscobel helped NFCC establish itself as an authoritative source on credit counseling, starting with a “Special Issues Paper” about the crisis in credit counseling and continuing with “Credit Counseling Trends,” a monthly electronic newsletter. Boscobel also created two PSAs that received considerable airplay.

As a result, NFCC was interviewed by NBC Nightly News, CNN, Reuters, and The Washington Post, among other national media outlets. On the local level, Boscobel has used its Push-Button PR™ program to provide a template that member agencies can easily customize for use with the media in their markets.

Boscobel's Press Relations achieved over 6 1/2 million impressions in print alone, not including broadcast and online placements.
