Problem: The name National Foundation for Consumer
Credit was confusing: It sounded like NFCC provided credit.
In addition, NFCC's products and services did not have product
names that differentiated them from the competition.
Solution: Based on illuminating research, Boscobel
held a Naming Workshop with NFCC and Boscobel personnel. In
an intensive, economical half-day session, the workshop yielded
four new names (for a fraction of the cost of a single name
from some other shops):
- National Foundation for Credit Counseling was chosen
for the organization itself. A more appropriate name, given
what NFCC does.
- Neighborhood Financial Care Centers for member offices.
A big plus: It uses the well-known NFCC initials.
- Money Action Plan (MAP) for the range of services
NFCC offers to anyone who comes in for personal counseling.
- Debt Solver Program for NFCC members debt management
service.
