Problem: NFCCs member agencies needed support
from its parent organization. NFCC originally planned to produce
a newsletter, but it soon became evident that a more substantial
form of communication was required to establish their "thought
leader" position.
Solution: Boscobel created the concept and layout for
a series of Credit Counseling Quarterly scholarly
journals addressed to members and creditors. The Special
Issues Paper and Credit Counseling Trends electronic
newsletter did double duty by serving members as well. Boscobel
also helped NFCC begin keeping track of economic indicators
and alerting members to new developments, thus broadening NFCCs
expertise and boosting its value to members.
Results: To name just one, the Special
Issues Paper developed by Boscobel was awarded a Silver
Inkwell by the International Association of Business Communicators
for Excellence in Print Communications.
